Beech Wood Floor Restoration in Kingswood, Surrey

Last week I restored an engineered, beech wood floor in Kingswood, Surrey.

The restoration process was carried out using my dust-free, Lagler floor-sanding machines, including a Lagler Hummel which is a belt sander used for the first round of sanding, a Lagler Flip edger, which is using for getting in tight to the skirtings, and a Lagler Trio, which is a finishing sander, and gets the floor nice and smooth, ready for varnishing.

Once the sanders are finished with and packed away, a coat of Bona primer is applied, followed by two coats of either Bona Mega varnish, or Bona Traffic varnish, depending on customer preference. Bona Traffic is a lot more hard-wearing than standard floor varnish, and will last for years longer.

The gallery below shows ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos of the beech floor, the orange part of the floor in the ‘before’ photos, is the floor as it was, before being sanded.
